My name is Anna like iguana; not Anna like banana.
I'm an art world professional, graphic designer & illustrator from Teaneck, NJ currently based in New York City – a crazy yet inspiring place where I can never get enough rest.
I earned my B.A. in Communication with a minor in Art at University of Massachusetts Amherst and continue to take courses at institutions such as School of Visual Arts, General Assembly, Sotheby’s, and more.
Last year, I self-published Life is Short: A Coloring Book (2017) and this year, I'm illustrating a children's book titled Joyner and Magical's Big Dreams with author Seymone Kelly. It's due for release in January 2019. I plan to produce at least one book project every year.
For my artistic work, I primarily draw on paper – first with pencil, then ink – and scan it to add color digitally in Photoshop. I find that it works best for me at this point in my life, without a real “studio” where I can get messy & paint. It works well for a girl on the go. Watercolor painting works well for my current style, and I might want to expand into additional paint mediums in the future, perhaps going larger-scale. We’ll see. I also enjoy creating GIFs, logo designs, & marketing materials for excellent branding.
