SubPoenA Group Exhibition

  • Parasol Projects 251 Elizabeth Street New York, NY, 10012 United States (map)

This month, I participate in a group exhibition entitled SubPoenA, organized by Lesny Jn Felix. I’m thrilled to participate with this talented group of artists and include an “un-traditional” artwork for me: all pencil, paper, and acrylic - no digital color! Further, I usually stray from political subjects in my work, but this one is “IN YOUR FACE” political about a relevant topic we’re all hearing about in the news right now.

See my artwork and the show’s brief press release below.

I Swear to Tell the Truth (2019), acrylic and pencil on paper, 11 x 14 inches.

Participating artists have been subpoenaed by a non-binding un-contextualized political body. Subpoena is in itself an action. A political wordplay corralling action and art to mimic secrecy in various contexts. Artists capitulate to the inquiry of Subpoena.
