Drawn on the Procreate app! So much fun, I have to say. Sometimes you need to use new tools to shake things up.
Need a cozy red for sweater weather. 🎯
#AnnaDrawsxColors ~ I’m going to start focusing on a color theme to get my drawings or doodles done. I think it will make for a more attractive Instagram feed and, later, can become a cool collage or illustration merging all those like colors. Let’s see how it goes! :)
I love having an Etsy shop because the sales happen randomly + unexpectedly at any time of day. It’s like making $$ while you sleep.👌
This 5x7 print in a crisp 8x10 mat is on its way to its buyer’s home! 👋 link to my shop in bio.
🌤 Jenna + Steven got married 2 years ago on September 18th in the Hudson Valley. There had been an imminent threat of rain, but just as the ceremony began, the sun broke out into the sky! It was just a beautiful ceremony + celebration. Special for me to be there as a guest that day + now to have illustrated this commission by Steven as a surprise anniversary gift for Jenna. Happy Anniversary!🥂

If you’re thinking getting about a commission, send me a DM or email me. Yes, I do draw animals as well. I’d love to draw you + your dog. 💕
Nica @kwentobynica + I have followed each other on the ‘gram for some years now. I’m v excited to have just received my purchase of a new journal – appropriately titled ‘I am the BEST’ for my Leo ass – and the lovely ‘Things we can do together.’ zine by a talented artist I admire. Thank you for always inspiring me with your smart simplicity + sense of humor, Nica. Can't wait to draw + write on this beautiful cream paper stock. I better come up with somethin' good!
Matisse and Me (2017) for a rainy, gloomy day ☔️
Came across this couple commission* I did earlier this year while going through older sketchbooks. 😻 Swipe to see the final illustration that they received as a surprise housewarming gift from their close friend. (Their new address was written in the ❤️-shaped rug, which is why I covered it!)
* I’m working on a v special couple commission this week, but it’s still a surprise. I can’t wait to share it!
Bat Mitzvah day, 2002 ✡️
September 14, 2002 was the day of my Bat Mitzvah (coming of age ceremony). I can't believe it's been 16 years! I remember feeling really confident + excited that day. My family + friends were proud of me.. it was fun! I wouldn't change a thing about that day or all the memories attached to it.
* I've never drawn stained glass before + hope that came across alright.
* During services at the temple, I always used to stare at the doors of the torah ark with its colorful, Matisse-like designs all over it. 😍
