I’m Anna. Nice to meet you!

I'm a creative professional from Teaneck, New Jersey currently based in New York City – a crazy yet inspiring place where I can never get enough rest. ‘Tis the life of a hustler in pursuit of success.

So here’s the story.

I earned my B.A. in Communication with a minor in Art at University of Massachusetts Amherst. I spent several years working as a graphic designer and then in sales and promotion at contemporary art galleries here in New York. As 2014 was coming to a close, I wanted to do something awesome going into the new year, so I began a daily drawing challenge on Instagram called “Anna Draws Every Day” and the rest is history.

Now I’m rich and famous.

JK, not quite. I still work a full-time job, now at an ad agency, but the daily challenge made me finally start taking my illustrative style of artwork seriously. It feels right in my soul when I complete a drawing I’m proud of, one that’s from the heart or a personal memory of mine, that resonates with others on either a deeper level or just in a light, fun way. In all honesty, I only draw to share and connect with others. I wouldn’t do it if no one was going to see it… I’d just go and get more sleep.

I do lots of things.

In 2017, I self-published a coloring book for all ages titled Life is Short: A Coloring Book. In 2018, I illustrated and designed a children's book titled Joyner and Magical's Big Dreams with author Seymone Kelly that was released in February 2019. I even had a solo exhibition in September 2019! There’s a list of other cool stuff I’ve participated in down below in my Artist CV. Now, I’m at a point where I’m focusing my time on projects I’m passionate about that have longevity.

Let’s connect.

If you’re interested in my work, I'm available for freelance projects, commissions, and possible collaborations. To get in touch, you can always email me or send me a DM on Instagram. I’m friendly, don’t be shy!
